Outdoor Learning Center

“Because Not Every Classroom Has Four Walls”

The HGES PTO is proud to partner with the HGES administration and staff to develop and provide funding for The Outdoor Learning Center.  This project was recommended by the HGES teacher and student leadership team during the 2019-2020 school year and was approved by the PTO to be our next large capital project.  The Outdoor Learning Center will extend existing learning space, provide opportunity for hands on learning, and help our children cultivate a meaningful relationship with the the natural world.

We are in the early stages of this multi phase project that is expected to take 1 to 3 years depending on funding and scope.  The entire HGES school participated in the ground breaking ceremony in May of 2021, and are already enjoying the trees, bushes, and vegetable gardens while anxiously awaiting completion of the first phase.

The completion of the outdoor learning center can not happen without the financial support of HGES family and friends.   We are appreciative of all the business, families, and individuals who have donated so far.  Donating to the HGES PTO will help continue construction of The Outdoor Learning Center.
